He’s with Buffalo now, yet Rex Ryan and Ravens remain tight

While the Buffalo Bills are listed as underdogs for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, analyst Matt Sabuda sees an opportunity.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace looks back at Buffalo Bills strong safety Duke Williams (27) as he runs for a touchdown during the first half of an NFL football game in Baltimore, Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016.

“Everyone in this building is happy for Tyrod”, said Yanda, standing in a hallway at the Under Armour Performance Center after an early afternoon practice Thursday.

Things went from bad to worse for the Ravens after that. He knew he was entrenched as a backup. “He did a great job beating the guy with his speed”. “We respect the hell out of him”. Tyrod Taylor was hit hard and often and while he made a number of plays he was unable to come up with any 4th quarter magic.

“My emotions are high for this game”, Taylor told reporters Wednesday. “Fans shouldn’t be surprised to see the team start out with an upset win”. “At times protection held up really well, but at times I thought they got outstanding push against us”. Expect a healthy dose of Justin Forsett and Terrance West as the Ravens will ease Flacco back into action. 2015 marked the Ravens’ first losing season under ninth-year head coach John Harbaugh.

Flacco wasn’t exuberant after the game. “Two years later, I’m going there as a starter with a year under my belt”.

The offense will do just enough to win this game. The Ravens first team offense hasn’t practiced together much and it showed.

“Today was just a glimpse of what we can become”, Weddle said. You can make a case Ryan should have been more aggressive and made a decision to go for it on three different occasions in the second half. He hasn’t displayed any hesitation to move outside the pocket or even tuck the ball and run with it. The awesome thing is he shows up and we had three quarterbacks. Flacco, who was playing in his first game since a season-ending knee injury last November, finished 23 of 34 with a 99.9 passer rating.

“The reality was I probably was going to be leave Baltimore at some point or another”. “It feels like it has been”. It’s tough, though. You have players not in there, Cordy (Glenn)’s out in that situation, but you have to step up. “I am excited to keep it rolling”.

Now Reed is defensive assistant on Rex Ryan’s staff in Buffalo.

“They are going to try and blitz you”, Yanda said. They get after the quarterback on third down.

Yanda worked out again this summer at the University of Iowa, his alma mater, with several other National Football League players who played for the Hawkeyes, including Matt Tobin.

Buffalo followed that up with a long opening possession in the third quarter as they had a chance to tie the score at 10 in the third quarter. The years roll by. Only one game into a 16 game season and the Bills have already sucked the life out of me. “They tend not to want to play the vets”.
