Indeed, the Flint mayor and Democratic city council toasted the criminal decision to send highly corrosive Flint River water into the homes of the city’s residents.

PLUTA: If there was any doubt Flint has become emblematic of the ills plaguing urban America, and that it has become a central issue in the race for the presidency, it’s worth noting that Clinton’s rival for the Democratic nomination, Sen.
Michigan State student athletes will help again over three Saturdays starting next week.
Snyder was further exposed after he released 270 pages of emails and other documents in regards to Flint’s water crisis, though many have been heavily redacted.
Clinton noted that Sanders left New Hampshire on Saturday night in order to appear on Saturday Night Live.
Snyder accepted responsibility during his State of the State address last month and promised to “fix” the problem, but many here feel the state’s actions remain slow and ineffective. He also said his administration is analyzing longer-term infrastructure needs.
“When you have gone through a lot like many of black folks and minorities and women have struggled with all of their lives and then along comes a public servant like Hillary Clinton, you know the real deal when you see it”, said Gerald Matthews, a 72-year-old retiree who has lived in Flint for more than 40 years.
Lower taxes reminds me, our Gov. Rick Scott wants to give businesses a tax break of $1 billion but he doesn’t have just $37 million to process hundreds of backlogged rape kits.
Snyder told the AP that while he is focused on committing state funds toward Flint – the Michigan Senate this week approved $30 million to reimburse water customers – he also is hopeful for more federal aid than the $5 million authorized under President Barack Obama’s emergency declaration.
Among the efforts Clinton said Sunday she supports are programs for early childhood education and interventions known to diminish the impact of lead poisoning on developing brains. This weekend, former President Bill Clinton wooed voters in Las Vegas, campaign surrogates knocked doors in San Antonio and Clinton’s aides announced a meeting with top civil rights leaders next week in New York City. That’s how long it takes to have a baby.
The crowd’s enthusiasm for Clinton was emphatic. He said they asked for more information but none was forthcoming, so they didn’t pursue the matter. “She cares about us and she cared about us before this happened to us”.
“This is a humanitarian crisis”, Sanders said. She declared, “I thank the elected officials who are here and I appreciate greatly the work they are doing at the city, the county and the federal level”. “I’m glad to hear from her here, although it’s too bad it took this problem to get her to my town”.
Clinton promised to return to Flint.

The Clinton camp suggested that a debate be used to bring attention to the crisis in Flint, “We’ve agreed to an additional debate in NH and are now in discussions to agree to additional debates – we think one of them should be in Flint”.
