Lady Gaga’s eagerly-awaited return to pop music has kicked off today with the star premiering her new single Perfect Illusion. She performed just two songs – Perfect Illusion (surprise surprise), as well as a stripped back and slowed down version of “Bad Romance”, performed on her keyboard.

In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Gaga announced that Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine appears in a duet on her forthcoming fifth album. He said that she’s usually sitting at a piano, barking orders at a drummer, that side of her, I don’t think a lot of the world has seen.

“Perfect Illusion” is Gaga’s first single after three years, after her album “Artpop” hit music networks with a bang back in 2013.

The news made it through the airwaves and straight to social media, causing a frenzy.

‘Perfect Illusion’, the Lady Gaga collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker has been revealed.

Lady Gaga previously described the song as “modern ecstasy”, and we can certainly see why. BloodPop told Rolling Stone that the new track is “soul-rooted” and “makes you want to dance”. “I don’t need eyes to see/I felt you touchin’ me/High like amphetamine/Maybe you’re just a dream”, the tweet reads, further igniting talk about her upcoming single. “It’s about wanting people to re-establish that human connection”. “This is about accepting that and letting go”. It’s not an entirely off-base assumption, considering the singer had been teasing and building excitement for the release of her new track.
