Hear Lady Gaga’s New Single “Perfect Illusion”
Although she collaborated on a Jazz album with the legendary singer Tony Bennett in 2014 named “Cheek To Cheek” and released hit song “Till It Happens To You”, Mother Monster has remained less involved in her music career. But, with that said, Gaga can have the tendency at times to do things differently and also play it safe – that’s ultimately what she does with “Perfect Illusion”.

“Perfect Illusion” was written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and BloodPop. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Gaga announced that Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine appears in a duet on her forthcoming fifth album. “I don’t need eyes to see/I felt you touchin’ me/High like amphetamine/Maybe you’re just a dream”, the tweet reads, further igniting talk about her upcoming single.
She’s really, to me, if not the greatest vocalist in the world. How do we look through these images that we know are filtered and altered, and decipher what is reality and what is a ideal illusion?
The hype for the new single started last month when the award-winning songstress released a number of puzzling messages on her social media profiles, topping Billboard Twitter Top Tracks weeks before its release. So far, details on the yet unnamed album are scarce and a release date is speculated to be this year, sometime around fall.
It’s no illusion – Lady Gaga is finally giving fans some new music. News. On Saturday morning, club goers in London’s Moth Club, were surprised when Lady Gaga came on stage for what turned into a fun and energetic rendition of her brand new power ballad.

Musically the song is more in-keeping with the star’s first two albums – The Fame and Born This Way – than her critic dividing third album ARTPOP. “So this song is about raging against it and letting it go”. That’s what the song is about, wanting people to re-establish human connection and be OK with accepting we’re in this place.
