The 73-year-old, who will reprise his role as the hero in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens, said reuniting with Peter Mayhew, who plays the Wookiee, after 32 years, was “warm and fuzzy”. It’s not a full trailer, but a new minute long TV extended spot has arrived that shows off some really great bits of new material. The voice over shows how Snoke narrates there has been an awakening and if Kylo Ren feels it. Apparently, win or lose, Finn and Rey will give Kylo Ren a challenge.

And we can even see Han Solo and Chewbacca bracing themselves for action.

Directed by JJ Abrams and starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in United Kingdom cinemas on December 17 2015 and in the USA a day later. “We all need to run”, he states. There are also new images of Kylo Ren leading a huge army of Stormtroopers and a new shot of the villain fighting Rey with his now iconic lightsaber.

Disney and Lucasfilm have been very tight-lipped about the newest installment in the sci-fi/fantasy franchise, releasing a series of teaser trailers that reveal only small hints about the film’s plot and characters, prompting wild speculation from fans.
