We have excessive heat warnings and heat advisories today, as “feels like” temps will get over 110.
While temperatures in western Oklahoma are actually supposed to be hotter than anywhere else in the state, the high humidity in the east is making it feel worse for residents there.
Environment Canada said this is very typical for this time of year in southern Manitoba. That is due to the abundant moisture which tends to mitigate the heating, somewhat, although the heat/humidity combination more than makes up for that.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for most of Southeast Nebraska and counties along the Missouri River in northeast Nebraska. In 2012 we a whopping 10 days at or above 100 degrees. Our winds will be relatively light with southerly winds of 8-15 miles per hour during the day and less at night.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to be much of the same with highs reaching the upper 90s and lower 100s.

Lincoln could see a high of 98 degrees Friday before dropping to a low of 72. Stay safe and cool!
