How about a heat index of 160 degrees?

Thursday’s National Weather Service forecast places heat index values at 104 in Little Rock, 105 in Hot Springs, 102 in Conway, 103 in Pine Bluff and 106 in Camden by Thursday afternoon. To keep safe, the NWS is advising people who must be outdoors to stay hydrated, wear light and light-colored clothing and make sure to take breaks in the shade or indoors.

“Never leave a child or pet unattended in a vehicle, as interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes after turning off the air conditioning”, the statement said. Lows will only drop to the upper 80s and low 90s. The average temperature for the beginning of August is around 84 degrees.
