Heat are thinking big, and Dwyane Wade understands why

Goran Dragic is still house-hunting in Miami. Without LeBron, they were no longer considered legitimate championship contenders like they had been for the previous four years, but they certainly still had a decent looking team on paper.
Clearly, Wade knows “how to do it” when it comes to putting on a show. He doesn’t sound bothered. Chalmers could end up staying, but Miami likely will look for a deal.
Wade is very important for the Heat and keeping him healthy will be a main priority this season. The Miami Heat head coach went on to say, “They both have been with us through our best years and they understand our commitment to winning. Whatever gives us the best chance to attack those expectations, we’re going to do it”. Dwyane has to be our leader. Sports analysts point out that the responses of Spoelstra with regard the future of Mario Chalmers and Chris Andersen in the Miami Heat appear to be intentionally vague. The team rewarded the center with a fully guaranteed contract for this year, but will that turn into a hefty contract extension as Kevin Durant enters the picture? He said every year under managing general partner Micky Arison and team president Pat Riley is about finding a way to contend for a title.
The roster got better this summer.
That’s a far cry from how things were last season. The Heat are paying him $20 million this season, proof of how much he’s still valued by the organization.
Speaking of Whiteside, the seven-footer had a breakout year in 2014, averaging a monster 2.6 blocks per game over 48 games played, ranked second in the league, only behind of Anthony Davis. That playbook was basically thrown out early last season, though now a few of those concepts can return.
“It’s just coming back the next day and the next day and getting my body used to that contact, running up and down the court, making cuts and playing team basketball”, he said.
Instead, the 33-year-old brought us all back to the mid-’90s when he stood in front of a green screen donning his jersey and a bright, multi-colored fanny pack.
Notes: The Heat filled their camp roster by signing guards John Lucas III (in his second stint with the Heat) and Tre Kelley….

Wade’s comments should have all Heat fans excited as preseason approaches, there seems to be great chemistry brewing with this Miami Heat team. If the team lets Whiteside dip a toe into free agency, teams will come with big money, especially if he puts up a big year with Bosh by his side.
