Heat’s Chris Bosh: Growing concern he’ll miss rest of season
Despite having planned to participate in several events during the All-Star weekend, Bosh decided not to play due to concerns about a possible clotting issue in his calf.

That being said, evoking The Fugitive in any context related to an injury report and then having it appear in the actual game as a joke, takes the cake.
The delicate state of Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh’s current health is such that the team and his physicians are urging him to sit out the remainder of this season.
Citing league sources, Yahoo reported Bush was scheduled to meet with owner Mickey Arison and president Pat Riley sometime in the next day to make a decision on his status moving forward.
While the Heat are certainly missing Bosh’s team-leading 19.1 points per game, the 31-year-old veteran is maintaining a visible presence with the team.

He was arguably the Heat’s best player before going down. This is the second time in as many seasons that Bosh’s season has been interrupted by a health scare. Per the league’s collective bargaining agreement, though, the Heat would not be able to receive financial relief against the salary cap until the one-year anniversary of Bosh’s last game. He signed a five-year deal for $118 million and became the centerpiece for them in many ways. He last played February 9 against the Spurs. The 11-time All-Star missed the final 30 games of the 2014-15 season after a blood clot moved from his calf to his lungs, but he remains hopeful that he’ll avoid a similar fate this time around by taking blood thinners. He was hospitalized and was on blood thinners before being cleared for a return to the court.
