When the tight game in Milwaukee got down to the final minutes, Wade flew in from nowhere into a crowd of Bucks players to slap an offensive rebound out to Justise Winslow (not technically a defensive play, but somewhat in that genre), which led to a crucial 3-pointer by Luol Deng.

Paul Millsap and Al Horford had 17 points apiece for Atlanta, which got 15 points from Jeff Teague and 11 from Dennis Schroder as the Hawks have lost three straight games.

Jamal Crawford scored 12 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, leading a dominant bench effort for the second straight game, and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Chicago Bulls 120-93 on Sunday for their fourth consecutive victory. The Heat ended up 3-2 on a trip that featured a multitude of injuries.

“If you would have told me we would have been 9-8 this month, I don’t think I would have liked it”, Wade said. After witnessing some devastating injuries the past couple of weeks, the Heat were as close to healthy as they have been all season on Friday.

This was the third game of the four-game season series, with the teams also to meet February 19 in Atlanta, in the Heat’s first game after the National Basketball Association trading deadline.

After a putrid first half, the Bucks fought their way back into the game and took the Heat down to the wire. “We just want to make sure there isn’t a setback”, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters. In the second matchup, the Heat limited him to 7 points, 4 assists, and 4 turnovers in a Heat 100-88 victory.

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Heat are a slight favorite at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -1 point against the Hawks.

Atlanta’s Kyle Korver missed all six of his shots, marking the third time in his career that he started a game and went 0 for 6 or worse. Wade and Bosh both picked up the slack against the Bucks as they both scored 20+ points in the win. In this game, Miami was without Hassan Whiteside once again.
