Heat wave continues: Triple-digit temps possible this weekend
The National Weather Service (NWS) and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) have issued a Heat Advisory and a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for Sunday, July 19, continuing into Monday. Temperatures could reach into the mid 90s Saturday afternoon and with the heat index, it could feel like over 100 degrees, ABC7 Meteorologist Troy Christensen said.

The overnight won’t bring much relief, with lows in the 70’s though it will turn slightly less humid. The phrase “heat wave” conjures an image of a long and unusually hot stretch of weather.
