According to weather forecasts, hot air from north Africa and southern Spain will push temperatures above average for August.

Spokesman Grahame Madge said: “A warm front moves into the United Kingdom on Thursday bringing tropical maritime air in from the southwest”.
However, don’t get too excited, as thundery conditions are expected to sweep in by the middle of the week bringing a drop in temperature with them.
Met Office forecaster Tom Crocker told the Telegraph: “There is pretty high confidence of a warmer spell and indications of warmer temperatures from the end of the week through into September”.
It will be mostly dry and we will see temperatures start to climb.
The Met Office’s Deputy Chief Operational Meteorologist Laura Paterson said: “An area of low pressure looks likely to drag air up from the south across the UK”.
However, it is then forecast that thunderstorms will break the period of pleasant weather.
He said that a “good chunk” of the country would enjoy the hot conditions, but that it was a “bit early” to call it a heatwave.
However this time round thermometers look poised to soar even higher with the 2003 record for the warmest ever temperature of 38.5C (101.3F) now under threat.
Experts say with humidity likely to rise to 100 per cent at the start of next week parts of the country could feel close to 35C (95F).
Spokeswoman Jessica Bridge said: “The sweltering temperatures are on course to smash through the 100F barrier, leaving us with little option but to slash the odds into just 2/1”.
Temperatures are expected to heat up, with highs of 23-24C expected across Kent.

“It looks like the best spell of summer, with warmth lasting up to two weeks”.
