Heavy rains lash Mumbai; road, rail, air traffic hit
Heavy rains once again disrupted normal life in the Maximum city of Mumbai, with traffic severely affected. Railway tracks at Chunnabhati, Sion, Dadar, Masjid Bunder, Sandhurst Road are under water. While the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy rain over Mumbai and coastal Konkan in the next two days, rain will continue to lash the city till August 11, as per the IMD weekly forecast.

Some low-lying areas in the country’s financial capital, particularly in Central Mumbai, witnessed water logging with people wading in deep waters in Parel.
