Heightened Security Continues In LA In Wake Of Brussels Terror Attacks
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said on Tuesday that the agency has not determined any specific, credible threat against US airports.

Incheon International Airport, South Korea’s main gateway, tightened its security in the wake of the terrorist bombings in Brussels that left dozens of people dead and some hundreds injured, the airport’s operator said Wednesday.
“We don’t want to give a roadmap to the people who would do us harm”.
“It’s always about achieving a balance between what is achievable and what is practical”, said Norman Shanks, a consultant and former manager of airport security at London Heathrow Airport.
Some transport hubs outside Europe – including Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport – require all individuals entering the terminal to go through security checks. But most experts agree it’s almost possible to make public airports completely secure from terrorist attacks, especially when those terrorists are willing to take their own lives when taking the lives of others. They said that the intervals between security patrols have been shortened.
Every airport in China had introduced extra security measures, an employee separately told AFP.
TSA is also working closely with state and local law enforcement, airport and transit authorities, and the aviation industry to augment that security, the statement said. A third bomb was found at the airport, but it was neutralized by authorities.
There was a bomb hoax at the Chandigarh airport too on Tuesday.
“I would also hope that police attention will be given to the “softer” transit terminals”. A series of similar attacks occurred in the 1980s, striking airports in Frankfurt, Paris, Rome and Vienna.
“No airlines at Stansted offer direct flights to Brussels”. World leaders condemn Brussels attacks, landmarks lit up in Belgium’s coloursThe only difference between Indian and most western airports is that here only a passenger is allowed into terminals.
The idea of frisking passengers outside terminals was first examined after the attack on Parliament but was not been implemented, following a review.
“If you think about the way things were done in Brussels – and have been done in other places – literally people only have to only walk in, and they can attack at will”, said Daniel Wagner, CEO of security consulting firm Country Risk Solutions.
“We’ve seen it for months now in the national news about the homegrown terrorists and so forth”. “If you are a potential bomber, you can monitor how well people are doing their job and exploit those weaknesses”. Even if JFK were to be reorganized, the intense bureaucratic upheaval may not provide a model for other airports.
The airport also plans to increase visibility of security agents and canine units, as well as increase vigilance on airport security cameras.

MIAA said the high alert means a strict implementation of security measures including screening of vehicles, passengers, and baggage.
