It is, perhaps, conspicuous that this news comes after the making and release of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which saw Cavill work closely with filmmaker Ben Affleck who is himself taking the reins on a Batman standalone film.
Rumors that another Man of Steel solo movie was back in active development were first started by The Wrap over a month ago.
Man of Steel, produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Snyder, earned $668 million at the global box office – around $200 million short of Batman v Superman. It has been confirmed that Henry Cavill will be starring in a Man of Steel sequel.
Last month, rumors swirled that the long-awaited sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel” was finally moving forward, though there was no confirmation from anyone at Warner Bros. on the subject.

Dany Garcia-whose talent management company, The Garcia Companies, manages Cavill-recently spoke to Newsweek about the Superman actor and casually mentioned that another solo Superman movie was on the way. But with another Superman film reportedly a priority, perhaps this means we’ll see him round out DC’s efforts after “The Flash” and “Aquaman” films.
