Here’s Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling Being All Cute and Stuff
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes may prefer to keep their personal life private, but the father of two couldn’t help but gush about his daughters to ET’s Cameron Mathison at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday. Now, we’re all well aware of both actors’ musical abilities, including Stone’s Broadway stint in Cabaret and Gosling’s work in the Mickey Mouse Club.

Directed by Whiplash’s Damien Chazelle, La La Land follows a jazz pianist named Sebastian (played by Ryan) who falls in love with a lovely aspiring actress named Mia (played by Emma). So, we expect nothing less than perfection.
This is the third movie the dynamic duo have filmed together, and they get cuter and cuter each time.
“We made two films together and now three, and so you know it’s great to work with people you know”, Ryan told the network.
During a Q&A panel that followed the film’s premiere, Gosling jokingly stated that he enjoyed working with Stone because he believes “she’s secretly Canadian”.
He said, “There’s actually a scene in the film, which is based on an audition that I had where it was a very emotional scene I had to do and halfway through, the lady took a call and just kept talking while I was supposed to finish my lines”. “I think it’s their emotions and their behavior that really just carries an audience – even an audience that’s not really into musicals – through the movie”. They may only be love interests on-screen, but there’s no shame in shipping that love.
Yet, she added that “what Damien wrote is really handsome and nostalgic and sweet” and that it was “nice to be part of something that hopefully gives people joy”.

However, while he is still somewhat private about his life as a dad, Gosling had no problem being open about his upcoming film, which has received a lot of positive buzz ahead of its planned December release.
