Here’s How Clinton and Trump Are Doing the Week of the RNC
On the third night of Trump’s four-day presidential convention-headlined by Indiana Governor Mike Pence, the party’s vice presidential nominee-the USA senator from Texas stole the show by refusing to endorse his one-time rival.

Fresh off his marathon Republican convention acceptance speech, Donald Trump looked backward Friday, rekindling his feud with onetime chief rival Ted Cruz.
When asked, however, if Thursday’s speech changed his opinion of Cruz, Rounds said “it really has not”.
Pence, officially nominated as the GOP Vice Presidential candidate Tuesday, accepted the nomination and says Donald Trump will bring strong leadership to the White House.
“Somebody got booed the hell out of a place by thousands and thousands of people”, Trump said not-so-cryptically of Cruz.
But he said Cruz “didn’t honor” the pledge that Republican primary candidates had made to support the eventual GOP nominee.
It could be that this speech will ultimately hurt Cruz among Republicans, particularly if Hillary Clinton wins the election in November.
Ivanka Trump, daughter of the nominee and executive vice president of the Trump Organization, described her father as a fighter. The problem for many Republicans, though, is that these are also the same people they think betrayed that revolution, pitching instead a big government conservatism with aggressive nation-building ambitions overseas. “It’s about the United States of America”.
Democrats kick off their convention next Monday. “And while I’m at it, I guess I should go ahead and admit yes my dad killed JFK, he is secretly Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa is buried in his backyard”.
It’s Donald Trump’s moment to make his case to the country – and to the many rattled doubters in his own party. I think he’s a lovely guy…All I did was was I pointed out the fact that on the cover of the National Enquirer there was a picture of him and insane Lee Harvey Oswald having breakfast. “It got me here”, said Trump, who has fired up crowds with promises to create jobs, be tough on national security and ensure that foreign policy keeps American interests firmly at its heart.
But comments by Trump to the New York Times raised fresh questions about his commitment to automatically defend fellow North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members if they were attacked. So they gave it. They came to me.
Manafort said that Cruz “understood what the responsibilities are, someone in his position”. Fittingly, many of his plan’s themes echoed the themes of each convention night throughout the week – national safety, economic reforms and party unity.
That view is of critical importance to Latinos and especially Latino Republicans who have two Hispanic senators in the U.S. Senate – Cruz and Sen.
“So Ted Cruz took his speech that was done, was on the Teleprompter, said ‘Hello, ‘ then made a statement that wasn’t on the speech, then went back to his speech”, Trump said.
Some media critics have complained that there is too much anger being directed at Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton from GOP convention speakers.
For all their rage last night, Cruz’s detractors – and there are many – probably weren’t surprised either.

Then Trump bore in on Cruz, calling his non-endorsement “dishonorable” before revisiting the hubbub over the celebrity businessman March’s retweet of a post that juxtaposed an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz with a glamour shot of Trump’s wife, Melania, a former model. Many appeared to be positive toward her, whether or not they agreed with her message.
