The pop-ups will feature Amazon’s own hardware, like the Fire TV, Amazon Echo and Kindle e-readers.

Amazon has been experimenting with the pop-up store concept for a number of years.

While the vast majority of its business is transacted online, Amazon has been expanding into the brick-and-mortar world recently. Pop-ups measure from 300 to 500 square feet, and Amazon has chosen to incorporate their brand name into the term as Amazon Pop-Ups. The Echo and its companion, Alexa, are some of the electronics featured at Amazon pop-up stores. A new Amazon website details each of these locations, describing the pop-up shops as a way to ask experts about products, demo those products, and shop for accessories.

Heads up – the next time you walk through a shopping mall, you may find a tiny Amazon Pop-Up store in your path.

Electronics can be tested and tried as well, and prices at these stores will always be the same as those online, including promos and specials.

The world’s largest online retailer could be bringing its wares to a mall near you, according to Business Insider, which reports that Amazon is planning to establish up to 100 pop-up stores across the country.

Amazon hopes to have over 30 open this year and that could by the end of 2016 be up to 100, as the new stores have started to pop up every week in a different shopping mall. In May, CEO Jeff Bezos told investors that the online retailer was interested in aggressive expansion into retail.

Amazon Pop-Ups are meant to promote brand awareness and allow consumers to experience Amazon devices firsthand, as well as give the company insight on which sales strategies work best in the offline environment.
