For now, there were contemplations among few tech supporter and eyewitnesses that HTC might not partner Google in generating the Nexus models.
PC Advisor reported that a 3D video was leaked online created by Techconfigurations, which gave a sneak peek at the Google Nexus 2016 phone.
The latest rumors on the subject refer to the upcoming release of two HTC built Nexus devices named Marlin and Sailfish.
The rumored release is September, which means that the two smartphone versions carrying the Nexus brand could very well become the first to be sold with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. In fact, a glass piece will make up the entirety of the back of the handhelds. Reports also claimed that the device will also feature slim and sleek look as compared to its earlier installment. The Bit Bag reported that the Nexus 2016 will be powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB RAM.
For those not in the knowing, the Sailfish is the smaller of the two and sports a 5-inch display while the Marlin comes with a 5.5-inch screen.
Reports claimed that both the variants of the Google phone will have huge displays.
Rear camera capacity could reach 12MP, with an 8MP unit on the front. And this time, both the smartphones codenamed Marlin and Sailfish would be made by the aforementioned manufacturer. However, they will be different in terms of battery. The rendering we saw back then was basically a recreation based on the information they were told, but now a new photo obtained by TechDroider shows the HTC “Marlin” in the flesh.
Regardless of the official name of the next Google mobile operating system, the company’s flagship smartphone, the Google Nexus 7 2016, shall reportedly join the launching of the new Android.

He added that even though Google isn’t interested in manufacturing future Nexus devices itself, it will be “more opinionated about the design of the phones” and will take control as and when it sees a need to ‘push the devices forward.’ “You’ll see us hopefully add more features on top of Android on Nexus phones”.
