Marchers on Saturday evening focused their demands squarely on stopping police violence, after on previous evenings protesters’ priority was release of police tapes. He was an American citizen who deserved better. He said officials’ delay in releasing the videos was due to protecting the integrity of their investigation.

This new video shows a different angle from the ones released by Charlotte police and local/state authorities and clearly showe Scott walking backwards with his hands at his sides before his death. Nobody has made that claim, but there is the claim that when they came back armed and ready to go after him, he was ordered to step out of the vehicle and to show his hands. After Mr. Scott was shot multiple times and fell to the ground, his moans could be heard as officers handcuffed him. “So I’m not sure how these officers were able from their position seated in their vehicle to see Mr. Scott rolling a joint and then conclude that’s criminal activity occurring that’s so egregious and outrageous that they need to leave their post and deal with that”. The picture picks up on Scott on the ground, as an officer yells for handcuffs.
The officer who shot Scott was not wearing a body camera, police have said.

A uniformed officer tried to use a baton to break out a window on Scott’s SUV, the narrative states.
“Officer Vinson perceived Mr Scott’s actions and movements as an imminent physical threat to himself and the other officers”, the police added.

Attorneys for the family say Scott looks to be complying with police.

In the dashboard cam video, officers are heard shouting, “Drop the gun”. “That is the most important question”, Bamberg said. “But what we do see is compelling evidence that, when you put all the pieces together, supports that”.
