The singer announced on Facebook Tuesday that her latest single, “Perfect Illusion”, will be released September 9.

Gaga’s spokesman refused to comment on the rumoured release date when contacted by NME, but NME understands the September 9 date is correct.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Gaga, 30, announced the release date and teased snapshots from the possible music video. There’s been no official update on an album release date as of yet, and Gaga has plenty of other pursuits in showbiz also in play.
The native New Yorker’s last album was the jazz duet project “Cheek to Cheek” with Tony Bennett in 2014.
The song was produced by Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson.
But. until the single officially drops, Gaga’s Little Monsters will have to wait patiently. She picked up a Golden Globe for her acting on American Horror Story: Hotel and earned an Oscar nomination for “Til It Happens to You”, her contribution to The Hunting Ground soundtrack.

Gaga tweeted Tuesday (Sept. 6) that the single will arrive Friday. It all starts this Friday…we believe.
