While Android phones now prompt users to allow permissions as they’re required by apps (since the Marshmallow 6.0 update), iOS doesn’t have this feature.

The “Google account scope” line is a reference to the fact that Pokemon Go used to request full account access to your Google account- which means that Niantic technically had access to all the data in your emails, Google Docs, etc.

Google settings state that “full access” means Pokemon Go “can see and modify almost all information in your Google Account”.
