By adding sponsorships, the company felt “we wouldn’t have to cave to that pressure to just dial it up a little more”.

Game developer, Niantic Labs, accidentally made Articuno, one of the three legendary birds in the “Pokemon” franchise, available on the company’s highly successful augmented reality mobile gaming application, “Pokemon Go”. As part of an update to the game released this weekend, it is now warning players to use common sense and obey all laws.

Pokémon Go has seen some strong levels of engagement, but it’s also interesting to see if this response will help calm down players annoyed with Niantic’s recent actions.

And finally, Niantic explained that the reason behind the lack of communication between the developer and the players was due to the team “working insane hours to keep the game running”, but the plan is to keep players more up-to-date with what’s going on in the future.

Furthermore, Niantic blocked a number of third-party apps created to help players track down Pokemon – including the hugely popular Pokevision, which showed exactly where Pokemon were and for how long.

These changes make it much harder for gamers to find and catch Pokemon around them, so players are accusing them of “breaking” the game.

Furthermore, Niantic have limited the access to the third-party services that were interfering with the ability to maintain the quality of service for the game users. “We will keep you posted as we strive to improve this feature”.

Unlike most smartphone games, it requires players to walk around in their hunt, leading to official requests around the world for people to be kept away from locations for safety or sensitivity reasons.

The biggest cause of upset is the removal of the in-game tracking feature alongside the harsh stance from Niantic regarding Pokemon Go tracking websites.
