The model has co-designed a womenswear collection with Tommy Hilfiger. Now, eight months later, we’re finally getting a look at the offering.

Titled Tommy x Gigi, it plays on the maritime vibe featured in the brand’s new fragrance campaign, The Girl, which stars Hadid. “Creatively speaking, it’s something that’s really true to my style-most of the pieces are things I would wear all the time”.
The nautical-themed collection consists of high-waisted jeans, cosy chunky knits, military style jackets and even a sports bra and shorts set. And she gives much of the credit to her stylist Monica Rose, who she admitted often pushes her to try new things.
We’ve been kept updated with the collab, with the Tommy Hilfiger Facebook sharing pictures of the “design studio” and the TommyxGigi Instagram posting regular pics.

Tommy Hilfiger sticks to its signature style for this collaboration, still channelling American heritage and preppy inspirations, while Hadid brings a modern and effortless touch to the line. “It’s still young and fun, still very Tommy, and very me!”, she gushed. For now, all we have are these images, but the full collaboration will be revealed come New York Fashion Week in September.
