On Thursday, it launched its first in-house designed and developed motorcycle, Splendor iSmart 110, which carries a Delhi ex-showroom price-tag of Rs 53,300. Hero MotoCorp has equipped the motorcycle with its i3S (Idle Stop and Start System) technology that was first featured in the Splendor iSmart.

The bike is now available at all Hero dealerships across India, at a price of Rs. 53,300 (Ex-showroom Delhi), INR 53,100 (Ex-showroom Mumbai), INR 53,800 (Ex-showroom Bangalore), Rs. 53,700 (Ex-showroom Chennai), INR 54,200 (Ex-showroom Kolkata), Rs. 53,100 (Ex-showroom Pune), INR 54,100 (Ex-showroom Hyderabad).

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 will sport with the Single cylinder engine which will produce a power of 8.9 bhp and a peak torque of 9 NM.
The new motorcycle draws its unmatched performance from the completely newBS-IVcompliant 110cc TOD (Torque on Demand) engine.
The Splendor is well known in the two-wheeler commuter segment for its fuel efficiency figures and the same can be expected from the new Splendor iSmart 110, which is claimed to return over 80kmpl. This motorcycle accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 7.45 seconds only. The engine springs back to life once the rider depresses the clutch lever to engage a gear, and this improves the motorcycle’s fuel efficiency.

Hence, the system is able to save fuel, which would’ve otherwise been lost while idling in traffic. Besides a longer seat, the Splendor iSmart 110 has an analog digital speedometer, which also has the functional utility of showing service due indicator. The new tail light and muffle with chrome tip give the bike a sleek look from the rear.
