Hickenlooper, Sen. Warren meet with Clinton

Clinton’s meetings with the remaining vice-presidential candidates are continuing: She has met with or is expected to meet soon with Sen.

Clinton was joined by campaign chairman John Podesta and vice chairwoman Huma Abedin.

Cars were seen going in and out of the house, with occupants entering through a protected garage.

Warren was omitted Friday from the list of candidates set to speak at the upcoming Democratic convention in Philadelphia.

And at a well-attended joint rally in Cincinnati last month that fueled speculation about an all-female ticket, Warren drew loud applause for a stinging indictment of Trump as “a small, insecure money grubber”. She campaigned with Virginia Sen. Bernie Sanders during the primaries.

A person who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters said earlier that Clinton was holding meetings Friday about her running mate selection. The two, according to aides, also met over coffee before that campaign stop. A message left with Castro’s office was not immediately returned.

And Trump’s poor polling among Latinos suggest the need to consolidate Latinos is no longer a top concern for the campaign.

Asked after the meeting how his time with Clinton was, the governor declined to comment.

According to sources, Clinton has not yet selected her running mate; however, she is closing in on making that decision.

Warren recently met with Hillary Clinton, in what some said could be a prospective vice presidential vetting. She is expected to make an announcement sometime next week.

No matter what, it’s likely Clinton will be choosing a VP sooner rather than later. Kaine has been rumored to be one of Clinton’s possible vice president choices. “That’s the most important qualification”.
