Hiddink admits beleaguered Chelsea `not easy` to fix
Struggling Premier League champions Chelsea have the quality to climb back up the table under interim manager Guus Hiddink, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has said.

And the 69-year-old must also try to improve a team spirit that has been lacking due to the “palpable discord” – as technical director Michael Emenalo put it – between former boss Jose Mourinho and his players. It means things are not going well.
“But anyhow I’m glad to be back”.
Hiddink spoke calmly and impressively on a number of topics, praising Mourinho for his “many, many titles” and on the subject of Didier Drogba sat alongside himself and owner Roman Abramovich for the win against Sunderland, he had the following to say. It is not easy after a championship.
The Dutch manager is optimistic about turning the fortunes of the club around after seeing his side beat Sunderland 3-1 with a convincing performance.
“Mathematically it is possible”, Hiddink said.
“If you look at his [Mourinho’s] record over the years, it’s an wonderful record at various clubs”, said Hiddink.
Montreal Impact are “willing to accommodate” Didier Drogba’s desire to help his former club Chelsea but expect the striker to return to Major League Soccer action next year.
“Let’s go into the next few games and we will see”.
“First I like to embed a bit now in the first few days and it [signing anyone] depends on the results coming up”.
“In the period I worked with him at Chelsea I saw someone who has got great charisma, excellent language skills, is able to coach on the field, and a great tactician”. I was delighted to have such a professional in the squad.
“He’s a legend already in this club”.
And now he could be tempted back under Guus Hiddink, albeit not in a playing role. “He was telling me is happy here and with the team”. And he can be a key player here.
“At other clubs in the past I’ve been speaking from time to time with the board, but not in an official capacity”, Hiddink said, hinting at helping Chelsea’s board in their permanent manager search.

“We can not ignore what has happened in the recent past, but I asked them and told them to look in the mirror and be hypercritical and give the best for the team”. “I said why I was here and I want everyone to look in the mirror and be critical. People take decisions that they have taken and I come on when I am asked”. “The fans have a right to think and express themselves… but the team has to take the initiative to get the fans”.
