Hiddink rues red card as Terry takes long walk towards Chelsea exit

In Guus Hiddink’s interview he had hinted to John Terry staying at the club and how much of an asset he believes he is at the club after a meeting with Roman Abramovich’s assistants Michael Emenalo and Marina Granovskaia, which has increased peoples hope of the Captain remaining another 12 months at the club.

Speaking after the Sunderland loss, Matic said he and his team-mates would be sad to see Terry leave the club. “When I make a judgement on how he plays and his fitness on his age, he’s able to play, he’s able to continue”.

In Chelsea colours, he won the Champions League, the Europa League, four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and three League Cups.

The centre-back will come to the end of his contract in the summer, and has not yet been offered a fresh deal. Get in touch below!

Evidently, though, Chelsea want to clear the decks, make a fresh start, for Conte. “In order to be able to make bright decisions without being affected by anything, and at the end of the day they do that because they want to make the club successful, financial sustainable and to get trophies in the cabinet”.

Following his red card at Sunderland, his second dismissal this season in the Premier League, he will be banned for the midweek trip to Liverpool and Sunday’s visit of Leicester. Those games close out Chelsea’s season, and quite possibly Terry’s career at the club.

An awfully rash tackle from the defender means that they are now also deprived of an opportunity to say goodbye with all the fanfare that he deserves.

Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have gathered eagerly around the TV screens today, after hearing that there’s a chance a club icon could still have a future with the Blues.

The Sun claims China is the likely destination for Terry where he will apparently earn £500,000-a-week turning out for a Super League side.
