Hiddink wants Drogba to be Chelsea assistant coach
Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao has taken to Instagram to post pictures of Guus Hiddink’s first training session since he replaced Jose Mourinho as the Blues’ manager.

It is also understood, however, that Chelsea will have to make up the shortfall in any wage cut Mourinho accepts at a new club until the end of this season. I have to say I am not a big social media guy, that’s not a road I go down but clearly the fans had a view on certain things today and it is their right to do that.
Since signing off from Chelsea with an FA Cup win over Everton, Hiddink has been manager of Turkey, Russian club side Anzi Makhachkala and most recently a dismal second spell as Netherlands coach which ended in his sacking after they failed to qualify for next year’s Euro 2016 finals. They have a profound obligation to perform.
Holland said the Portuguese would find a job “sooner rather than later”. “I like teams to have a spine from central defence, to midfield to attack to have strong leaders who can coach throughout”.
“He (Hiddink) was here before, he did very well and I think he’s a very good manager”, Courtois said.
Guus Hiddink gave his first press conference as Chelsea’s interim head coach on Wednesday with the veteran Dutchman in a reflective mood.
Instead, rather than what’s gone before, Hiddink wants his players to look themselves in the mirror, be self-critical and then focus on what’s to come. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you.
“That is what I was emphasising on – not to look back so much”.
“Absolutely [they have to get the fans back on side], and rightly so, Chelsea are such a big club, we’re not used to this and have had a lot of success over the last 10 years”.
However, he made a great impression in his brief stay in London in 2009, proved popular with the Chelsea players and lost only one of his 22 games in charge.
“But on the other hand I told them that things happen in football and I want everyone to look in the mirror – not just for two seconds but for longer – and see what everyone can from now on contribute to the way up”.
“We said let’s go to May and then we’ll see what will happen”. It’s a huge club all round the world. Abramovich has backed him to have a similar impact this time around.
With Chelsea looking certain to have surrendered the title they won last season in such impressive style, Hoddle has tipped Arsenal as the current favourites to lift the trophy in what is proving to be a hugely unpredictable campaign.
“And no I didn’t meet him (Mourinho)”.

“The fans showed the loyalty they have for Jose Mourinho”.
