High fry-ve! it’s bacon buttie and tea for astronaut Tim
NASA announced Friday that it will send astronauts on an unscheduled spacewalk from the U.S. Quest airlock on the International Space Station just days before the holiday. Nigel and Angela Peake arrived home in Westbourne near Chichester on Monday to the message: “Hello, this is your son from the International Space Station”.

On his blog, he wrote: “The support for our launch was outstanding, and I want to thank each of you for the #GoodLuckTim messages”. He tried making the call but missed his mother and father because they were out.
As per experts, the ISS’s Mobile Transporter is a rail-based platform that allows the space station’s robotic arm to reach most of the orbiting lab.
He’s the first British astronaut on the space station, though he now works for the European Space Agency in Cologne, Germany. The 43-year-old first Briton astronaut said he ate bacon sandwich as first meal on the space station.
He said his stay so far has been “busy but incredible”, adding: “Amazing how fast the body adapts to new environment”.
The ESA has confirmed the press conference with Major Peake will go ahead at 2.15pm GMT and last for 20 minutes.
Major Peake, who is accompanied by Russian commander Yuri Malenchenko and American Tim Kopra, will spend the next few months carrying out dozens of experiments for researchers on Earth as he orbits the planet at 28,800km per hour.
Peake replied that all the crew on the space station are fans of the band.
He revealed that Tim would make an appearance of sorts at this year’s family Christmas dinner. “The Cygnus private space freighter from the USA company Orbital ATK is berthed to the Unity module”.
For the past six weeks, the children have been taking part in the Unlimited Space Agency Astro Science Challenge, researching all about Tim’s Principia Mission.

Major Peake may have the opportunity to carry out a space walk, saying that he was looking forward to the chance “more so than ever”.
