Forbes has released its annual list of highest paid actors and actresses, comprising data from June 2014 to June 2015.

Falling behind Lawrence by $16.5 million in the newest list is Downey’s “Avengers” costar Scarlett Johansson, who earned an estimated $35.5 million thanks to the blockbuster Marvel films. Though all the earnings were combined it was still $660 million less than the list of 34 World’s Highest Paid Actors. Melissa McCarthy, who will headline the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, came in third with $23 million to her name. Last year, Lawrence and Amy Adams have been reported to have lesser profits than their male counterparts for the movie “American Hustle“. Reese Witherspoon and Angelina Jolie made it to ninth place with $15 million each.

Jennifer Lawrence’s net worth is incredibly growing after she’s been proclaimed as the top “Highest-Paid Actress” by Forbes. McCarthy also stars on the CBS sitcom “Mike & Molly“, in addition to launching a clothing line for plus-size women.

The Oscar victor is set to star alongside “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor Chris Pratt, who reportedly negotiated a $12 million deal with Sony Pictures for the project.

Ninth place was shared by Anne Hathaway and Kristen Stewart with US$12 million each. And of those 18 women, 22 per cent earned $20 million or more, while 60 per cent of men hit the same mark.

You officially made the most cash money in the previous year out of all the other actresses in the biz. Fifth-placed Jennifer Aniston ($16.5 million) had two films in the scoring period which grossed just $108.6 million, but she makes bank shilling for Aveeno, SmartWater and Living Proof. Though one thing is true, no matter her wages or if she was deemed the highest paid actress, she will always have the love of her fans. Lawrence made $52 million over the past year, pre-tax and fees. Like Aniston, much of Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow’s income comes from endorsements. Sandra Bullock, who topped 2014’s list, fell to 15th this year.
