Game 3 is Tuesday night. “Game 3 is going to be a good game and we’d better be ready to play”.

Don’t count the Ducks out until the Oilers have four games, but they’re in a world of hurt right now needing to win four games in the next five.

Talbot fell on the sword after the game. “We just have to find ways to play our game, play with the confidence we’ve been playing with all year”. I tried to stimulate some other people to get involved in the game. John Gibson stopped 24 shots.

Anaheim’s Jakob Silfverberg said he felt his team made it too easy for Talbot in their last game. But it will be much easier to get McDavid away from Kesler and Ryan Getzlaf (whose line played the second-most minutes against No. 97) once Game 3 rolls around in Edmonton. You saw the first goal.

Larsson got the victor when he skated behind the net and threw it in front. The Oilers, up 2-0 in their second-round playoff series, went down 3-0 early in the game, but they fought back in the second period. Both Ryan Ellis and Roman Josi notched goals in Game 3. The 24-year-old defenseman scored an National Hockey League career-high four goals this season.

“I thought it was tight all three periods”, Eaves said.

With both cities confident in their respective teams, the two mayors tussled on Twitter. We’ve dealt with these situations all year long.

That was the marker that stabbed the Oilers in the heart.

The Ducks, who gave up at least one power-play goal in each of their first six postseason games, killed three power plays Sunday.

“The backbreaker was 25 seconds in”. It gave the Oilers a 2-0 lead.

And at 11:51 the Ducks were up three-zip.

There wasn’t much to Larsson’s second goal, a centring pass from behind the net struck Ducks defenceman Josh Manson’s skate and went in. “The last two games weren’t us”.

Then, cue the Oilers comeback. Getzlaf broke his stick on the faceoff, leaving the Ducks at a greater disadvantage before Letestu picked up his second goal of the post-season at 6:22. Just 1:28 in, David Desharnais’ centering pass flipped up in the air, deflected off a couple of players, and snuck over the goal line.

Then it was McDavid’s turn to work his magic.

“Just chalk it up to a bad game”, McDavid said.

Anaheim drew to within 2-1 on Silfverberg’s power-play goal, his fourth goal of the playoffs, at 15:34 of the second period.

Getzlaf said his team did well to deal with the emotional roller coaster.

“We might even be a better spot, but we have to respond”. “Our group showed a little bit of resiliency”.

But we’re seeing a different Rinne in this series: He has already allowed double his first-round total through Games 1 and 2 of the second round, for a save percentage of.880.

Kris Russell collected two assists for Edmonton.

The Edmonton Oilers can all but end this series with a victory here and taking a commanding 3-0 lead. Bieksa has been ruled doubtful for Game 2, which could signal the return of Sami Vatanen, who has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since Game 1 against Calgary.

Iveson has also agreed to send a case of Oilers Nation beer, brewed by Edmonton craft brewery Polar Park Brewing, to Mayor Tait’s office if the Oilers lose.
