Clinton criticized Trump throughout her almost hour-long speech and defined her policy agenda largely against that of her Republican opponent as she assailed his “bigotry and bombast”.
Donald Trump has relentlessly attacked Clinton. Speakers, some of whom included military and police officers, made frequent mentions of religion and patriotism.
“Powerful forces are threatening to pull us apart”, she said.
“My primary mission as president will be to create more opportunity and more good jobs with rising wages, right here in the United States”, she said.
As New York Democrats head home after the four-day convention, they said they are unified against defeating Donald Trump in November – even as some of Sanders’ delegates say they are still unsure whether they can rally around Clinton, the Chappaqua, Westchester County, denizen with ties to Dutchess County. Trump later said he was being sarcastic, but not before Brendan Buck, a top strategist for House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), delivered a harsh rebuke of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the idea that the Russian government should be meddling in US elections.
And she noted Trump’s statement: “I know more about ISIS than the generals do”.
While accepting the Democratic nomination, Clinton said, “Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis”.
The Democrats had better overall viewership throughout the conventions than the Republicans, but Trump was a bigger draw at the end of the conventions. Crooked Hillary said that I “couldn’t handle the rough and tumble of a political campaign …”
“We say, ‘we’ll fix it together”.
In addition to the statement, Trump tweeted several additional criticisms of Clinton.
She acknowledged those concerns briefly, saying “I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me”.
For Wednesday, an average of 24.4 million people watched the Democratic convention, 1 more than the 23.4 million who watched the Republican convention.
The Democratic presidential nominee said during a kickoff rally in Philadelphia Friday that the tour through critical Pennsylvania and OH will stop at “places that make things”. Reaching out to Bernie Sanders supporters, she said of the progressive party platform, “We wrote it together, now let’s go out and make it happen together”.
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine says he is “worried” about certain aspects of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.
According to the Associated Press, Democratic Senate Candidate Jim Gray said he still supports Clinton, while at the same time he distanced himself from her infamous comment at an eastern Kentucky event.
Many of his allies wore hats and shirts adorned with a single word: “Bernie”.

Clinton, accused by Sanders backers of not paying enough attention to the issue of income inequality, promised she will focus on areas of the country that have long “been left out and left behind” by the modern economy.
