Hillary Clinton ahead by 5 points
“The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic – you name it”.

At a fundraiser in New York City Friday night, Clinton told a crowd of donors that half of Trump’s supporters are “irredeemable” due to their bigoted views, but the other half are just looking to change the government because they feel it has “let them down”.
“Tonight’s comments were more than another example of Clinton lying to the country about her emails, jeopardizing our national security, or even calling citizens “super-predators” – this was Clinton, as a defender of Washington’s rigged system, telling the American public that she could care less about them”, he said.
“Last night I was “grossly generalistic, ‘ and that’s never a good idea”.
Kaine claimed that so long as her remarks are “reported fairly that she kind of talked about both halves”, he didn’t believe that they would hurt the Democratic Party’s chances to court Trump supporters. She and Republican nominee Donald Trump promised to suspend campaign activities to mark the 15th anniversary of the attacks.
“I regret saying “half” – that was wrong”.
Trump leads Clinton 50% to 36% among white likely voters, narrower than Mitt Romney’s 20-point margin over Obama in 2012. In a head-to-head race excluding Johnson and Stein, Clinton leads 42% to Trump’s 41%. Obama was criticized for saying small-town voters “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations”. And unfortunately there are people like that.
“Just when Hillary Clinton said she was going to start running a positive campaign, she ripped off her mask and revealed her true contempt for everyday Americans”, said Jason Miller, Trump’s senior communications adviser, in a statement Friday night. “And he has lifted them up”.
“He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million”, she continued, referencing Trump’s campaign hire of Breitbart News’ Steve Bannon. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric.
Speaking to the gay rights supporters, she added that those people are “irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America”.

Clinton – a former NY senator – has frequently highlighted her efforts, including in a campaign ad released Friday, to aid those affected by the World Trade Center collapse.
