Child welfare officials in New York City are investigating Anthony Weiner after he sent a woman a lewd text message that also showed his sleeping child.
The New York Post published photos late on Sunday that it said Weiner had sent a year ago to a woman identified only as a “40-something divorcee” who lives in the West and supports Republican Donald Trump.
Weiner’s latest sexting scandal erupted earlier this week when the Post revealed he had been sending text messages about sexual fantasies to a woman he met on Twitter past year.
The Abedin and Weiner divorce and ensuing custody battle will not be pretty, experts told the Post.
He said their conversations were private, often included pictures of her nieces and nephews and his son and were “always appropriate”.
Shortly after the news broke, Weiner’s Twitter was deleted. It is unclear if investigators have talked to Weiner. His wife, Huma Abedin, a senior Hillary Clinton aide, announced on Monday that she and her husband are separating.
