Conway, who supported Trump rival Ted Cruz during the primaries, was named to her post this past week in a shake-up in which the campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, resigned and conservative media firebrand Stephen Bannon, who led Breitbart News, took over as campaign chief executive.
“The hand of the Kremlin has been at work in this (Trump’s) campaign for some time”, Mook said.
“Host Dana Bash had asked if Ailes is actively advising Donald Trump at this point”.
Over the past several days, the Trump campaign has worked to play down potential links between the real-estate magnate and Russian Federation.
Trump will plainly struggle to convince many skeptical and frankly disdainful Latino voters that his effort to cozy up to the Hispanic community, much like a similar effort aimed at black voters, isn’t just the result of sliding poll numbers, rather than a warming heart.
In all, his campaign brought in $37m for the month. “That’s not the challenge here”, Mook said.

“He listened to the comments and suggestions made by the various board members, but he never indicated what his immigration policy would be”, said Helen Aguirre Ferr, the Republican National Committee’s Hispanic communications director and a key emissary between the GOP’s command structure and the few national Hispanic conservative leaders willing to publicly endorse Trump.

“The GOP is the party of Abraham Lincoln and I want our party to be the home of the African-American voter once again”, Trump said to cheers from a mostly white crowd.
“He’s in a good position considering we really haven’t gone after Hillary”, DesJarlais said. It’s a crossover vendor from Trump’s real estate organization. At a Baptist church later, a woman yelled “Thank you for coming, Mr. Trump” as he and Pence sat down with volunteers. Clinton said this week that she had spoken with Louisiana’s governor and that a visit by her would be a “distraction” to relief efforts.
Clinton has spent more money than Trump on TV ads and campaign workers, though Clinton’s campaign has 619 more people on its payroll than Trump’s.

Trump’s campaign also paid $20,000 to the consulting firm of Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager he fired in June, two weeks after Lewandowski left the campaign and became a paid pundit on CNN.
