Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders accuse Donald Trump of inciting violence

Hours before Trump was scheduled to appear Friday night at the University of IL at Chicago, the atmosphere inside a campus arena was crackling as protesters and supporters shouted back and forth, arms raised and yelling in each other’s faces.

Sanders also condemned Trump’s rhetoric in a statement released Saturday. He stuck around to greet supporters afterward.

His accusation came after a Trump rally in Chicago on Friday was called off amid scenes of violence that included fistfights and people throwing bottles in what many believe is a turning point in the campaign if not American politics.

Trump observed from the stage, “See”.

His first event Sunday was noticeably calmer than many of his recent rallies.

Mr Trump sounded a defiant note – even as his campaign rolled out new security measures.

According to Trump, Jr., the Chicago protesters lacked reason and motive and were merely bandwagoners. I think they protest and they disrupt, that’s what they do.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump Sunday threatened to dispatch his supporters to Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ rallies, accusing the Vermont lawmaker’s backers of being behind the violent clashes at his events. “They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks”, Trump said in Las Vegas.

“Bernie Sanders is lying when he says his disruptors aren’t told to go to my events”.

Sanders denies that his campaign was responsible for the disruption. “It’s an enticement”, Sanders said in a town hall that will air on MSNBC Monday at 6 p.m. ET.

“What caused the protests at Trump’s rally is a candidate that has promoted hatred and division against Latinos, Muslims, women, and people with disabilities, and his birther attacks against the legitimacy of President Obama”, he said.

“Ohio Gov.Kasich voted for NAFTA, from which Ohio has never recovered”.

The tension at his rallies, Trump said, came from people being “sick and tired” of American leadership that has cost them jobs through worldwide trade deals, failed to defeat Islamic State terrorism and treats military veterans poorly.

It will mark Florida senator’s third win in the presidential race. Marco Rubio tries merely to remain relevant, hoping his home-state voters defy the polls and give him justification to extend his candidacy. John Kasich took nine.

Trump answered during an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press”. Cruz has 370, Rubio has 163 and Kasich has 63. The outcome will help determine whether Trump can reach the 1,237 delegates required for nomination and avoid a contested GOP convention this summer in Cleveland.

For Democrats, Hillary Clinton won the caucus on the Northern Mariana Islands, a US territory in the Pacific Ocean.

“You know what they used to do to guys like that in a place like this?”

As one Reddit poster, a self-described legal immigrant of color who saw the Chicago madness firsthand, put it: “I saw a quiet, but excited crowd of Donald Trump supporters get thrown out of Chicago”.

He said he didn’t plan to hurt the real estate mogul but wanted to send a message to Trump, who he called a “bully”. “Look, my people have said, we ought to go to his rallies, because, you know, it’s sort of interesting”.
