Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have ‘explosive’ clash before New Hampshire vote

A day after the sharpest, most caustic debate yet for Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, both candidates were facing New Hampshire voters Friday in the final stretch before the state’s first-in-the-nation primary vote.

On her six-figure paid speeches, which Clinton has struggled mightily to justify, she said she had spoken to these groups only about her knowledge of world politics.

To be more specific, during the Democratic debate Hillary Clinton claimed that Bernie Sanders suggested that she was corrupt, or, in her own words, “a very artful smear”.

Normalizing relations immediately would remove one of the biggest levers the United States has to pry concessions from Iran in the future, she said. “And I really don’t think these kinds of attacks by insinuation are worthy of you”.

According to the survey, Clinton and Bernie Sanders are almost tied in the Democratic race, while Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are hot on Trump’s trail in the GOP election.

“I am feeling exactly the way I felt at the first debate”, he said.

The exchange allowed Clinton to make what is a central argument of her campaign: that she’s ideologically aligned, for the most part, with the party’s base, but that she’s “a progressive who gets things done”. The analysis found that the tax increases in Sanders’ plan would only cover about 75 percent of the estimated spending under the plan, creating at least a $3 trillion hole over 10 years. Kyle McCrory, 22, a Russian and worldwide affairs major, agreed about Ms Clinton but said he also had major reservations about Mr Sanders. He’s cited her ties to Wall Street and a well-funded super PAC as evidence of her shortcomings as a true liberal champion.

“I think what some college kids don’t understand is if (Sanders) actually does get into the presidency that we’re going to have to pay for that free college and still pay for our college”, he said. “I’ll look into it. I don’t know the statuc, but I can certainly look into it”, Clinton answered, before quickly bringing up that it was “stressful advising the President about going after bin Laden”.

“I don’t think voters are interested in the transcripts of her speeches”, Clinton strategist Joel Benenson said at a Wall Street Journal breakfast on Friday.

Dean became indignant, as Clinton has, at the suggestion that she has been influenced by the huge speaking fees she received from such institutions as Goldman Sachs.

Sanders said he wouldn’t restore relations “tomorrow” but would move toward them.

Fans of the former secretary of state said they are skeptical of polls that have her behind Sanders by as many as 31 points.
