Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in Four Tight Battleground Races

“Donald Trump said last night he doesn’t particularly like the system”, he said. Clinton leads Trump in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, two other Quinnipiac polls showed.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, the morning after a NY security forum featuring separate appearances by the two candidates, Clinton also slammed the businessman for praising Russian President Vladimir Putin and saying US generals had been “reduced to rubble” by the policies of US President Barack Obama.

The government’s most senior Republican, for one, says he does not share Trump’s complimentary view of the Russian leader. Here, Lauer might have pointed out that a populace that has seen Putin’s opponents turn up dead might be inclined to say nice things about the dictator when questioned by “pollsters”.

“I think that when you serve in the armed forces, that’s a very special situation”, Trump said.

Clinton, to whom he “seemed hostile”, former New York Times media reporter Bill Carter concluded this morning, on CNN.

“Look, I have tremendous policy disagreements with President Obama, but Vladimir Putin is an authoritarian thug who is accountable to no one”, Rubio told the Guardian.

Pence on Thursday clarified that Trump was not advocating for a dictatorship like Putin’s. “She tried to make up for her disgusting performance last night so she went on the tarmac and told more lies”.

There is no evidence to date that shows Trump came out against the Iraq War early on, and in fact, he initially said he supported the conflict.

McDonald started the segment by reading two tweets attempting to convince the masses that Lauer was sexist for interrupting Clinton (ignoring how Lauer did the same for Trump) and asked for Noyes’s reaction.

By virtue of a coin flip, Clinton took the stage first and quickly found herself responding at length to questions about her years in government. She said her vote to authorize the Iraq War was a “mistake”, then vowed: “We are not putting ground troops into Iraq ever again and we are not putting ground troops into Syria”.

“I’m asking to be judged on the totality of my record”, said Clinton, who grew visibly irritated at times with the repeated focus on her past actions.

Trump stood by a previous comment that appeared to blame military sexual assaults on men and women serving together, but added he would not seek to remove women from the military.

The two remain tied when the most prominent third-party candidates are thrown into the race, with Trump and Clinton drawing 43 percent apiece. “I don’t understand the reasons for it. I find it frustrating, but it is just part of the landscape that we live in and we just keep forging ahead”.
