DES MOINES | Despite giving her low grades for handling the economy, likely Iowa Democratic caucusgoers are sticking with Hillary Clinton as their choice for the party’s 2016 presidential nominee.

Clinton, who was responding to Jose Antonio Vargas – an undocumented immigrant journalist and founder of Define American – had used the term “illegal immigrant” during a New Hampshire campaign stop on November 9.
Clinton replied, “I have just one word for Mr. Trump: Basta”.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) said Clinton’s Facebook Q&A with Noticias Telemundo demonstrated her “hypocrisy” towards the Latino community.
Asked about the fact that gender hasn’t been an issue in this campaign when, 20 years ago, it would have been front and center, she said, “I think it’s good news”. “She and Bill were both government servants all of their life, and there was a set period of time when they could make money”, said venture capitalist Alan Patricof, a longtime Clinton fundraiser. And I will continue to do so. “We have a significant number of veterans of all ages who are killing themselves – last figure I saw was about 30 a day – and some of it is because they’re not getting the mental health treatment that they need”, she said. “I’m proud that 60 percent of our donors are women, and even prouder that we’re building a country where we can finally say to all our daughters, ‘Yes, you can be anything you want when you grow up, even President of the United States'”. Many GOP candidates also routinely use the term “illegals” to refer to immigrants in the country illegally.
“Now he’s saying maybe it’s OK for peaceful protestors to get ‘roughed up, ‘” Clinton wrote, referencing a recent incident in which Trump didn’t disavow event attendees that punched and kicked a protester at one of his events.

Mr. Sanders, a Vermont independent and avowed socialist, said that he would allow all undocumented immigrants who have been in the USA for at least five years to stay without threat of deportation.
Clinton’s campaign announced the event on Wednesday. The American Federation of Teachers’ endorsement Ms. Clinton resulted in a similar rift among its members-many opponents to the endorsement feel it undermines the democratic process to endorse a candidate before the primaries, which is why several unions still have not endorsed any candidate at all, including the nation’s largest organization of labor unions, the AFL-CIO. Clinton last visited Reno in June when she hosted a roundtable discussion with local veterans. “I think pharmacists can play a role in that, but I also think that over-the-counter is entirely appropriate”, she said.

Sanders’ campaign also questioned the reasons behind Clinton opposition to his Medicare-for-all plan, citing support she has received from pharmaceutical companies.
