Hillary Clinton Back Ahead of Donald Trump in Post-Convention Polls
Unfortunately, when the electorate is facing death threats from terrorists, they have very little or absolutely no time for Clinton-related niceties. This number may be the most surprising of all considering the number of protests at the Democratic convention among Sanders supporters, who felt they were cheated out of the election process after an email leak by the Democratic National Committee showed that the committee favored Clinton over Sanders. For them, Trump is the candidate of change. Clinton then officially accepted the nomination for President of the United States.

However, the GOP need not be a shrinking island of white male voters.
“The real estate mogul has also fashioned himself as a businessman-turned-celebrity who just wants to fix America’s problems, whilst portraying and marketing Clinton as your regular, lying and crooked politician – complete with special-interest groups” backing – who wants to get into power to maintain status quo.
The Democratic presidential candidate was scheduled to appear in Omaha Monday, where she will talk about her plans for job creation. It is the neoconservative rebellion of the 1960s and 1970s in reverse. The new conservative rebels are horrified at Trump’s amoral approach to politics, his incoherent, dictator-friendly foreign policy, and his racist, exclusionary definition of what it means to be an American.
“We don’t resent success in America”, she added.
As Americans, we love nothing more than to declare things ‘historic’.
The most devastating attack on Trump came from Khizr Khan, an American Muslim whose son, Army Capt. Humayun Khan, was killed in the line of duty in Iraq.
After the conventions, Clinton has expanded her lead with women, but she still trails Trump by a large margin among men. “I will gladly lend you my copy”.
The New York Times described the effort in Philadelphia as attempting “to portray Mr. Trump as a dangerously unstable figure”, built on the notion “that the American system was created to prevent the rise of a dictator”.
Clinton was preceded Thursday night by a dreary procession of Democratic officeholders and introduced by her daughter, Chelsea Clinton, who spoke slowly, softly and implausibly about how her mother attended “every soccer game, every softball game, every piano recital, every dance recital”.
Among the beliefs of her campaign are higher minimum wage, the right to affordable healthcare, standing up to unfair trade deals, expanding social security, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and equal pay, she said.
But the values that underlay her economics were old-fashioned, family-friendly and communitarian. She roved among platitudes, denunciations of Trump, biography, policies, a call-and-response chant and even a mention of the musical “Hamilton”.

The non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates says it began working more than a year and a half ago to pick suitable dates to avoid other big events and religious holidays. Lewis, the Seattle delegate, predicted that whatever they decide, Sanders supporters will influence the party for years.
