Appearing in the county known for the so-called Reagan Democrats – working-class Democrats who voted Republican in the 1980s – Clinton tried to seize the opportunity to win back some of the blue collar voters who’ve formed the base of her rival’s support, making the case that she offers a steadier roadmap for economic growth and prosperity. “I will stop any trade deal that kills jobs or holds down wages, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership”, she promised.
The Democratic presidential nominee, who frequently boasts about her numerous policy plans, didn’t offer any new ideas to improve the country’s economy in her afternoon address.
The documents show that she and husband, former President Bill Clinton paid approximately one third of their income to Uncle Sam.

In North Carolina, a state the GOP nominee Mitt Romney won in 2012 and that is crucial to Trump’s path to victory, Clinton leads the real estate mogul among registered voters by nine percentage points, 48 percent to 39 percent.
Trump said he had no intention of changing his inflammatory approach to presidential politics, pledging in a CNBC interview to “just keep doing the same thing I’m doing right now”.
Clinton also continued her call for Trump to release his tax returns. She also criticized his business practices by pointing out that “he’s made a career of stiffing small businesses from Atlantic City to Las Vegas”.
Trump has cited an audit by the Internal Revenue Service in refusing to release his returns. “Fear that we can’t compete with the rest of the world even when rules are fair, fear that our country has no choice but to hide behind walls”.
The Clintons made about 90 times more, reporting almost $28 million for the same year.
In an economic policy speech in Warren, Mich., Clinton characterized Trump’s tax policies as beneficial to the wealthy, referring to a provision in his plan as the “Trump loophole” and framing the plan as a personal boon to the business mogul.
Her appearance follows Trump’s own speech on the economy, which he also delivered in MI on Monday.
Her running mate, Senator Tim Kaine, and his wife will also release the past 10 years of their returns.
With few exceptions, Mr Trump has provided more of a philosophical basis for an economic plan than specifics, although he did call for greater child care deductions for families.
“There is a myth out there that he will stick it to the rich and powerful because somehow he is really on the side of the little guy”, Clinton said.
Both candidates chose tightly contested MI – specifically, the Detroit area – to make their updated economic pitches.
Trump’s critics, including 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and other fellow Republicans, have said his refusal raises questions about his net worth, his charitable contributions, his business dealings and various other ties, including with Russian Federation.

Departing from 40 years of tradition for presidential candidates, Trump has so far refused to release any of his tax returns for public inspection. Trump insisted he was never advocating violence against Clinton.
