Hillary Clinton Campaign Agrees to 4 More Debates

The DNC then said last Tuesday that “We have no plans to sanction any further debates before the upcoming First in the Nation caucuses and primary, but will reconvene with our campaigns after those two contests to review our schedule”. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley are expected to participate.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is calling for a Democratic debate in Flint as the city copes with a lead-contaminated water crisis. Clinton trails Sanders in New Hampshire and wants the proposed debate next Thursday to help her reach undecided voters before the state’s primary on February 9.

The DNC also said it is in the process of negotiating with the three candidates for additional Democratic debates.

In response to Clinton’s Flint suggestion, the Sanders campaign responded Saturday afternoon that terms are still not agreed upon for addition debates in March and April hosted in MI and NY. “What’s the matter with Brooklyn?”

“By now, we can all agree that the Democratic National Committee’s strategy to limit debates and hide them on weekends and during the holidays has been a colossal failure”, O’Malley said in a statement to TheBlaze, adding that more debates would not allow Democrats to “cede the national conversation to Republicans like Donald Trump”. “Enough of the games”, he said, adding that Clinton was prepared to show up for the debate on Thursday and the three additional ones later this spring. While our name will not be on the banner, we say: “Mission accomplished”.

NBC News hosted the most recent Democratic debate, which was held on January 17.
