Hillary Clinton campaign releases doctor’s letter describing ‘mild’ pneumonia

Aside from an ongoing bout of pneumonia, Hillary Clinton is in good physical and mental condition, her doctor said in a new letter released Wednesday.

For 90 minutes after her abrupt departure, the campaign offered no information on Clinton’s whereabouts – and it was many hours later before the campaign revealed the pneumonia diagnosis, which had come on Friday.

The campaign’s disclosure of Clinton’s medical records comes three days after she was videotaped struggling to walk and being assisted into a van as she abruptly exited a 9/11 memorial service in New York City on Sunday.

Bardack said Clinton’s cholesterol and blood pressure are within normal ranges.

Clinton in 2015 released a two-page letter outlining her own medical condition.

Trump, 70, shared with Dr. Mehmet Oz, the host of the popular daytime show, the results of a recent physical exam that his campaign has yet to release to the public.

Speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta said Wednesday’s disclosures were “pretty similar” to information released by her campaign a year ago. Trump has since said that he would release more medical information from a physical he received last week.

Their departure from the Clinton Health Access Initiative was one of several changes outlined by the organization on Wednesday aimed at minimizing potential conflicts of interest in a future Clinton administration.

The “Dr. Oz Show” on Wednesday released a short clip of its Thursday segment with Trump.

Aside from the pneumonia, Bardack also disclosed the Clinton developed a sinus and ear infection in January that required the insertion of a myringotomy tube in her left ear.

The statement also said Clinton has no lasting effects from a concussion she suffered while serving as secretary of state in 2012, backing up statements that she has made in the years since the incident. “I think on the one hand, it is part of the wacky strategy, just say all these insane things and maybe you can get some people to believe you”.
