Hillary Clinton claps back after Chris Christie ‘indicts’ her during RNC

“We can not make the chief law enforcement officer of the United States someone who has risked America’s secrets and lied about this to Congress and the American people”, Christie said at the GOP convention in Cleveland Tuesday night. “These terrorists abducted hundreds of innocent young girls two years ago”, Christie said. Yes, he was talking about Donald Trump.

Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton attended the NAACP convention in Cleveland, Ohio, on Monday, where she spoke about the fractured country and mass shootings, and according to the New York Times, she told the crowd that “this madness has to stop”. An Associated Press-GfK poll this month found that three-quarters of voters say their pick for president is motivated by a desire to cast their ballot against Clinton or Trump.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky took a personal approach.

Christie ended his own White House run in February and was rumored to be on Trump’s vice presidential short list.

Newly minted vice presidential candidate Mike Pence is set to address the convention on Wednesday night.

The convention, which continued today, opened with controversy as anti-Trump Republicans attempted to change the rules of the convention to nominate a different candidate.

The speech, which was met with resounding cheers, came hours after the Trump children got to announce, along with the NY delegation, that their father was the 2016 nominee for the Republican party.

“Lock her up, that’s right”, Flynn said. Trump quickly wrote on Twitter following the roll call vote.

Donald Trump officially won the nomination of the Republican party Tuesday, making the businessman the standard-bearer of the party after a rollicking primary season that saw him vanquish 16 rivals. He called Kasich “petulant” and “embarrassing” for not endorsing Trump or attending the convention, drawing quick condemnation from other GOP leaders anxious about angering the popular governor of one of the most important election states.

“When you pull back the curtain, it was just Donald Trump with nothing to offer to the American people”, Clinton said during a speech in Las Vegas. But F.H. Buckley, the writer behind the original work in question this time – an article in The American Conservative – said he was a principal speechwriter for the younger Trump and said the campaign did nothing wrong.

“She’s willing to fight to keep families together, and willing to fight for immigrants”, said Celia Vergas, a housekeeper at the Trump Hotel who introduced Clinton to a crowd of about 150 culinary workers.
