Clinton’s speech was the key event at the joint conference that featured workshops on career development, a job fair, the latest technology in regards to news gathering and reporting, honoring outstanding media professionals, as well as other social events.

As the first woman nominated for president by a major US political party, Clinton was feted at the Democratic National Convention last week for shattering a political glass ceiling.

Clinton also addressed Republican opponent Donald Trump, slamming his divisive rhetoric and controversial comments throughout the course of his candidacy. “He is harkening back to the most shameful chapters of our history and appealing to the ugliest impulses of our society”.
“On behalf of all of us, we encourage you to (take questions) more often with reporters”, he said, adding that she should especially take questions from those who are on the trail with her.
Another rally Friday night in Wisconsin, Trump alleged that Clinton is a monster.
Clinton, the first female nominee for any major political party, announced that she intends to boost job creation among communities with high unemployment. Early in the campaign, she suggested changing capital gains tax rates to penalize investors who hold assets for less than six years and imposing a tax on high-frequency financial transactions. -Mexican border and instituting a temporary ban on Muslims immigrants entering the country. “As president, I will expand economic opportunities for African Americans and Latinos”, she said.
Republicans in Congress (depending on how many survive) will be able to claim that Clinton won the White House only because the GOP nominated the wrong candidate, and that the American people aren’t on board with her proposals – some of which they might not even know about.
The theory is similar to President Obama’s prediction four summers ago, while seeking re-election, that the 2012 contest against Mitt Romney would “break the fever” among conservatives, clearing the way for a more centrist Republican path toward immigration reform and other policy collaborations during the president’s second term.
But Donald Trump rescued her by seizing the spotlight with his own, bigger fumbles: his scraps with Gold Star parents, fire marshals and a crying baby; his feud with House Speaker Paul Ryan.
But some convention-goers said there are some issues that were left out of Clinton’s address, which was heavily focused on economic development in communities of color and her email controversy.
Saying she was sorry that she had used a private email server, she said she never sent or received any emails marked classified.

“[I’m] blessed to have a crew of great friends”, said.
