Hillary Clinton denies passing out after 9/11 memorial ceremony

Hillary Clinton has denied passing out when she took ill at a 9/11 memorial ceremony. “I just did not think it was going to be that big a deal”. Her campaign said nothing for more than an hour, though some in the press reported she departed for medical reasons. “I think her lifestyle and her underlying indicators from blood pressure to amount of exercise, to everything else means it’s nearly that she is in better health than her opponent. And I can tell you there’s nothing that happened yesterday that has changed that assessment at all”, Earnest said.

Mrs Clinton (68) said she had dealt with similar episodes of dizziness before.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama doesn’t feel like he needs to help Clinton with damage control. Clinton, however, tried to defend her past medical record but admitted that it was something that has occurred a few times over the course of her life. “I should have gotten some rest sooner”. I felt overheated. I decided I did need to leave as soon as I got into the air-conditioned van I cooled off, I got some water and very quickly I felt better so I felt fine but I’m now taking my doctors advice which was given to me on Friday which I ignored to just take some time to get over pneumonia completely. Former President Bill Clinton will fill in for his wife on Tuesday at two fundraisers in Los Angeles, per an aide, as well as on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Both Mrs Clinton and Mr Trump (70) said they meant to release more of their medical details in the coming days, as their campaigns gear up for the November election. Mrs. Clinton turned up at the Manhattan apartment of her daughter, Chelsea.

A federal investigation of that issue said she was “extremely careless” in her handling of classified emails, but did not recommend criminal charges.

Republican candidate Donald Trump also said he had a physical last week and will release detailed health information when he gets the results, which are expected in coming days.

Hillary Clinton, calling into a fundraiser she was supposed to headline in person, told donors in San Francisco on Monday night that it was hard to follow her doctor’s orders and stay home after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

Speaking in Maryland Monday, Trump said he was shocked to hear Clinton “attack, slander, smear and demean these wonderful, awesome people who are supporting our campaign”.

On Fox News, he said he hopes “she gets well and gets back on the trail and we’ll be seeing her at the debate”.

Mr Trump had suggested for weeks that Mrs Clinton lacked the energy needed to be president.

Democrats said her attendance at events despite her pneumonia diagnosis proved her toughness.
