Hillary Clinton facing toughest challenge to her presidential campaign

According to The Hill, Republican nominee Donald Trump’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” got a 0.6 rating, or about a 30 percent more viewers. And the complex plan for allowing donations from USA citizens and permanent residents, keeping some parts of the Clinton Foundation alive, and maintaining scores of Clinton-family allies on the payroll is less an opportunity for a clean slate than a guarantee of new controversy. This week, Trump’s voters clearly feel better about him: six in ten say they are voting for the NY businessman.

Bill Clinton said in a statement Monday that if his wife wins the presidential election, he would step down from the foundation’s board and stop all fundraising for it. The family should wall itself off from the foundation immediately, and take its name off the charity, as it should have when she was secretary of state.

“It is outrageous to misrepresent Secretary Clinton’s basis for meeting with these individuals”, spokesman Brian Fallon said. The youngest voters, those under the age of 30, who were more likely to favor Sanders during the primary season are also more likely to be voting against Trump.

Last week, the Clinton Foundation moved to head off ethics concerns about future donations by announcing changes planned if she is elected.

Before her interview, Clinton had largely ignored Trump’s criticism of the foundation, with campaign officials figuring her late-summer advantage gives her few incentives to personally push back against the email criticism or allegations of pay-for-play. Only 18% of Trump voters think a campaign’s management matters a great deal.

In Arizona, McCain leads Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick by 13 points, 52 percent to 39 percent; in North Carolina, Burr only leads Democratic challenger Deborah Ross by 3 points among registered voters, 49 percent to 46 percent.

#5. Trump is famous, or infamous, for putting little stock in the traditional ground game of identifying and getting supporters to the poll.

Trump’s support among Virginia Republicans has decreased slightly from 80 percent to 78.

Trump’s name is listed on the Clinton Foundation’s website as having given between $100,001 and $250,000. 83% of veterans are male, and about half are 65 and older. This group strongly favors the real-estate mogul, yet even if all of them vote it wouldn’t hand Trump any of the states now slated for Clinton or any of the toss-up states. When the sample is reduced to just registered voters, the race becomes a tie between the two candidates. His surrogate, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said there is evidence on the internet showing Clinton has exhibited “several signs of illness”. 58% of registered voters this week have an unfavorable view of Trump; 56% an unfavorable view of Clinton.
