Hillary Clinton (finally) holds a press conference An error occurred

“Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill says Hillary Clinton was not wearing an earpiece last night”, ABC reporter Liz Kreutz informed her followers on Twitter after Clinton held a press conference on the airport tarmac in NY.

Finally, Clinton was asked if she was being held to a different standard by the media and how that might impact her in the debates. Hillary then cited the fact that Republicans were willing to denounce Trump’s temperament saying “they are so concerned about this man and how totally unqualified he is to be president”.

She’s dealing with three decades’ worth of campaigns against her.

To be fair, Clinton was actually making a substantive point.

“Every Republican holding or seeking office in this country should be asked if they agree with Donald Trump about these statements”, Clinton said in a morning news conference.

Trump did not directly respond to Clinton’s critique Thursday.

Reflecting on her Christianity, Clinton said Jesus Christ’s greatest command was to love. “As opposed to letting it all happen on his timeframe and his playing field”.

In August, one ISIS spokesman wrote: “I ask Allah to deliver America to Trump”. It also follows a more disciplined stretch from Trump, who has commanded extensive cable TV coverage of his campaign. Trump also travels apart from reporters, although he invited some onboard Monday for a gaggle and short flight, and said he may do so again.

Kicking off the Labor Day holiday, Clinton greeted the journalists covering her on Monday and Tuesday before departure and then returned for gaggles that covered about 20 to 25 minutes apiece.

The questions from reporters have ranged from the FBI’s inquiry into her use of a private email server, the Clinton Foundation, Russia’s role in the election, Clinton’s health, the future of Syria and Obama’s recent trip to Asia.

Clinton said she feels she’s in “a strong position”, but is continuing to push on and hard.

On Thursday, Clinton criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump for not having a detailed plan for defeating the ISIS caliphate, noting that it should disqualify him from being president.

Yet some of the exchanges got complicated. She also flushed out several national security priorities if she is elected, including trying to take out the leader of the Islamic State and vowing to defeat the extremist group without putting US troops on the ground in Iraq or Syria.

But the answer wasn’t so simple. “That’s not only risky but it should be disqualifying”, Clinton said.
