Hillary Clinton has Nine-point Lead over Donald Trump

It’s common knowledge by now that Donald Trump thinks Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is “crooked”-but on Monday night he took his name-calling a step further, referring to Clinton as “the devil”.

Clinton’s haul swamps the $35.8 million Trump has said he and the Republican Party raised last month.

She now leads Republican nominee Donald Trump by eight points – 50 percent to 42 percent – up from just a one point margin the week prior.

The quip immediately made headlines across the country.

His remarks come amid controversy over comments Mr Trump made about the parents of a Muslim-American soldier who was killed in Iraq.

“I think both parties got what they wanted out of their conventions”, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus told CNN after the network’s poll was released. That started with social media.

In response to the speech, Trump said Kahn “viciously attacked” him and suggested that Ghazala Khan, who remained silent throughout her husband’s speech, might not have been “allowed” to speak due to the harsh restrictions placed on women by some conservative Muslims.

With billionaire investor Warren Buffet at her side Clinton accused Trump of having something to hide in his financial dealings.

The outgoing congressman argued in an op-ed in The Syracuse Post Standard that he “disagree (s)” with (Clinton) on different issues, but called Trump a “national embarrassment”.

Former Republican candidate John McCain became the latest senior Republican to criticise Mr Trump for his attack on the parents of US Army Capt Humayun Khan, who was killed by a vehicle bomb in 2004 in Iraq, at the age of 27.

Trump also claimed that the election is in danger of being rigged in favour of Clinton.

The campaign credited last week’s Democratic National Convention with the boost in fundraising in July. Brookover could not immediately be reached for comment. He said he trusts her to lead the country at a turbulent time. It’s true. If I put out a handsome, long, perfectly scripted press release like I did yesterday, nobody puts it out.
